Parking Gate Systems: Exit Lane
Parking gate systems offer the ability to charge for parking based on the time spent in the parking lot. After receiving a printed ticket in the entry lane, the pay-in-lane equipment in the exit lane incorporates unattended or attended revenue control. The most common unattended Exit BOXX configuration includes a scanner, PCI-compliant encrypted credit card reader, intercom, access control reader, and receipt printer. The Exit BOXX may also be upgraded to include an EMV reader, bill acceptor, and coin/token acceptor.

Exit Lane Payment and Revenue Control Options
Unattended Exit Lane
For busy sites, credit card payment in the exit lane is the fastest option for transient parkers. A cost-effective alternative for smaller sites adds cash alongside credit cards. This cash/credit Exit BOXX minimizes the need for walk-up payment machines, which can always be added in the future.
Monthly and Employee Express Lanes
Many parking gate systems include dedicated express exit lanes for access control credential holders only. Credential-based access keeps monthly parkers and employees moving without interacting with the payment terminal.
Attended Revenue Control
The Cashier BOXX allows a cashier to rate tickets, apply discounts, and scan paper or sticker validation. Many parking gate systems offer both unattended and attended configurations in the same exit lane — staffing the Cashier BOXX only during peak times.

- Exit BOXX — Credit and/or cash (no change given) — the standard unattended exit terminal
- Big Pay BOXX — Credit and cash with full change dispensing — for facilities requiring cash-out capability
