History
Oklahoma City is the capital and largest city in Oklahoma. It has one of the largest livestock markets in the world. On record, Oklahoma City has been struck by thirteen tornadoes. It has a humid subtropical climate. Oklahoma City has vastly different neighborhoods due to the city using special zoning regulations to maintain the character of the different neighborhoods. The city is divided by the North Canadian River into North Oklahoma City and South Oklahoma City.
Sights
Oklahoma City Memorial Museum honors all those affected by the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, which is the largest case of domestic terrorism in US history. It is located where the bombing took place, the former Alfred P. Murrah Federal building. The memorial will take you through an interactive tour, focusing on the impact of it. You can park on NW Harvey Avenue between 4th and 6th and NW Hudson Avenue on 5th. Buses have a special drop off and parking area.

Check out Historic Stockyards City, whose main mission is to preserve Western Culture by educating the public about western heritage and creating a tourist destination. What began as a public livestock market is now a place where you can go for a full western experience.

Myriad Botanical Gardens is a 17 acre botanical garden that features Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. All day parking is available on Sheridan Avenue and two hour parking is available S.W 2nd and Harvey Avenues. There are children’s and adult’s programs for everyone to learn and discover.

Oklahoma City is home to several professional sports teams. There is the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA, the Oklahoma City Dodgers, the Oklahoma city FC of the United Soccer League and Crusader of USA Rugby.
Higher Education
Oklahoma City University is located near the city’s China town. It is known for performing arts, science, mass communications, business, law and athletic programs. University of Oklahoma consists of OU Medicine, which has the state’s only Level One trauma center and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Centre which employs over 12 000 people. There is also the University of Central Oklahoma which is a private liberal arts institution.
