What Is a Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS)
A parking revenue control system — also called PARCS (Parking Access and Revenue Control System) — is the complete infrastructure that controls who enters a parking facility, tracks how long each vehicle stays, collects payment, and reports revenue — all without manual intervention. PARCS technology combines hardware (barrier gates, ticket dispensers, pay stations, LPR cameras, access control readers) with management software (CloudEASE) to form a fully integrated parking operation.
Parking BOXX is a North American PARCS manufacturer. Every component in the system is designed and built in-house — no third-party hardware reselling, no fragmented vendor relationships. One manufacturer handles the entire system from design through installation and ongoing support.
PARCS System Components
Entry Lane
The entry lane is where the parking session begins. Transient parkers press a button, receive a time-stamped ticket, and the barrier gate opens. Monthly parkers and employees present a credential — RFID card, mobile wallet, or license plate — and the gate opens automatically. LPR cameras at the entry lane serve as the primary entry layer, capturing license plates for registered vehicles and falling back to ticket dispensing for unregistered vehicles.
Exit Lane Payment
At exit, the pay station reads the ticket or plate, calculates the fee based on duration, accepts payment by card, cash, or mobile wallet, and opens the barrier gate. Walk-up pay-on-foot stations in lobby areas let drivers pay before returning to their vehicle, reducing exit lane congestion. The system closes the parking session and records the transaction in CloudEASE in real time.
Access Control
PARCS access control manages monthly parkers, employees, tenants, and VIPs without cash transactions. Credential types include RFID proximity cards, key fobs, Bluetooth mobile credentials, PIN keypads, and LPR plate-based access. Credentials are provisioned, suspended, and monitored from the CloudEASE dashboard. Access logs record every gate event for audit and dispute resolution.
CloudEASE Management Software
CloudEASE is the central brain of the Parking BOXX PARCS. Revenue reporting, rate management, equipment monitoring, credential management, and transaction search all run through a single browser-based dashboard. CloudEASE supports multi-facility management — operators overseeing multiple properties manage all locations from one login with no separate software instances.
PARCS for Different Facility Types
Parking BOXX PARCS systems are configured for the specific operational requirements of each facility type:

- Hotels and resorts — PMS integration for guest validation, valet support, event rate scheduling, integrated billing
- Airports and off-airport lots — High-volume LPR, reservation pre-booking, long-term vs short-term rate segregation
- Universities and campuses — Permit management, zone access by credential type, enforcement reporting integration
- Commercial and office — Monthly tenant parking, visitor payment, validation programs for retail tenants
Parking Revenue Control System — Frequently Asked Questions
What is a parking revenue control system?
A parking revenue control system is hardware and software that automates vehicle access, payment collection, and revenue reporting for a parking facility. Parking revenue control systems eliminate manual cash handling, prevent revenue leakage, and provide real-time financial reporting to operators. Parking BOXX manufactures complete parking revenue control systems in North America — every component from barrier gates to CloudEASE management software is built in-house.
What is the difference between PARCS and a parking revenue control system?
PARCS (Parking Access and Revenue Control System) is the formal industry term for what is commonly called a parking revenue control system. Both refer to the same integrated system: barrier gates, entry/exit lane equipment, pay stations, LPR cameras, access control, and management software working together to control access and collect revenue. Parking BOXX PARCS systems are sold direct from the manufacturer, with no reseller markup.
How much does a parking revenue control system cost?
Parking revenue control system costs vary based on the number of entry and exit lanes, equipment tier, software configuration, and installation requirements. Parking BOXX publishes transparent pricing tiers and provides itemized proposals within 24–48 hours. Entry-level gated systems for small surface lots start significantly lower than enterprise PARCS for multi-level garages. Request a free quote to get a custom price for your facility.
